Commonwealth Shared Scholarship Scheme – Details
This Commonwealth Shared Scholarship Scheme is a joint venture between the Commonwealth Scholarship Commission (with funding from the Department for International Development (DFID), and UK universities with the aim of supporting scholarships for students from developing Commonwealth countries who will not be able to study in the United Kingdom.
The Scholarship scheme aims to assist students from developing Commonwealth countries who have excellent academic qualifications and background but for financial reasons would not be able to afford to study in the United Kingdom.
They are allowed to benefit from postgraduate study at a university in the United Kingdom which will help them to contribute towards the development of many African countries and their countries at large.
Applicants with an offer in the MSc Global Health and Development and MSc Health Economics and Decision Science are eligible to apply for the academic year 2019/2020
As a candidate from a developing country in the Commonwealth we recommend that you apply for entrance in one of the IGH programmes (Global Health or Health Economics) as soon as possible. This is because you will need to apply separately for the scholarship.
The deadline for application for the scholarship program will be announced.
Always remember that scholarships including the Commonwealth Shared Scholarship Scheme remain the best alternative for people from developing countries who cannot afford to study in the UK or overseas in general to achieve their life dreams and help their communities at large.
